*Target goal is to help pay for legal fees to fight the case*

BHAI KANHAIYA HUMANITARIAN AID is helping the family of Neha Devi (Agamjyot Kaur Khalsa) to get justice for their beloved daughter Neha as she was a victim of severe domestic abuse by her in-laws for many months. She was sadly killed by poison in late April 2025.

NEHA'S STORY (Information gathered from her family)
Neha and her family reside in Anandpur Sahib, India. She was 24 years old and comes from a Hindu family. She was married for 5 months. Just prior to getting married she was baptised via Sikh Initiation Amrit Sanchaar where she was blessed with her new name 'Agamjyot Kaur Khalsa'. She was a young joyful soul who was sweet to those around her. She was looking to start her new life as an Amritdhari Sikh and wanted to get married. Her family was looking for her to get married soon after however, they were unable to find a Sikh suitor. They were then given advice to marry Neha to a Hindu family. After meeting with a suitor, who stated they and their family would respect Neha's faith and customs. The family agreed for Neha to marry into that family, however soon after she was subjected to abuse from her in-laws demanding dowry payments. They were forcing her to cook meat and eggs even though this is against Amritdhari (baptised Sikh) customs. Neha was unable to refuse these requests as she was beaten and bruised by the family.
She suffered from constant abuse and her family was unaware of what she was going through as Neha was held captive in the household.

Her husband's family informed Neha's parents that she was not well. Neha's family grew worrisome of this so decided to visit her. They saw their daughter was beaten up so severely and was unable to speak. They tried to take their daughter away but were stopped by the in-laws family showing reluctance. By the time Neha's family managed to take them to the hospital, it was too late. The doctors had attempted to treat her after seeing what little life was left in her. However even after being treated Neha sadly passed away in hospital. The cause of death was listed as 'poisoned'.

Bhai Kanhaiya Humanitarian Aid is in contact with Neha's family and is fundraising for this case to help pay for the legal fees involved to take the in-laws to court as the cause of death was listed as poisoned which is a suspicious death. Please help support fight her case with the fundraiser.
