Nakyta’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone. I’m creating this page on behalf of my colleague and good friend, Nakyta, in hopes to bring awareness to our situation and to find financial assistance for her and her family during this time of need.
On April 12th, 2023, Nakyta and I were laying in a grassy area on our lunch break as it was a beautiful spring day, when a woman in a truck decided to drive through the parking lot and use the grassy area as a short cut to get to the French fry wagon near our work plaza. When she decided to make this short cut, she ran over Nakyta’s head and kept driving another 6 yards to park her car.
Nakyta is alive and by the grace of God, survived a truck running over her skull. She now suffers with a traumatic brain injury. This injury has had a major impact on Nakyta’s physical health and emotional well-being.
She is now unable to work due to this injury and cannot provide herself an income.
Nakyta is an amazing friend, colleague, sister, daughter. She is hard working and is very passionate about her job as a Vision Therapist. I miss having a colleague who fills my cup as much as she did and my heart breaks for her during this recovery.
If you’ve ever been impacted by a brain injury, you understand how difficult and long the process of recovery can be. I felt like I needed to bring awareness to this incident. I hope something will be done to give Nakyta justice. Any little bit helps as it will go toward monthly bills, any medical bills, gas to appointments, for Nakyta.
God Bless
