Justice for Mujey
Donation protected
Mujey Dumbuya was a generous, energetic 16-year old-woman with a radiant smile and an adventurous spirit.
Mujey was abducted, and murdered. Her family states, “We are heartbroken, devastated and overwhelmed with grief over the death of our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and cousin.
These funds will go to Mujey's family, her mother Phatama , father Steven, and brother Mustapha.
Mujey's family needs financial assistance to retain an attorney to investigate the circumstances of Mujey's death, to interface with local law enforcement officials, and to handle all communications with the media.
Mujey's death has unleased a firestorm of news and media coverage, not all of it accurate, and there is a need to truthfully tell Mujey's story and to explain the facts that led to her abduction and murder.
Mujey's family will be deeply grateful to those of you who arise to assist them in the midst of this tragedy. Once we have reached the fund goal the money will be withdrawn by the mothers sister, Jainya Sannoh, and provided to the family.
My name is Dr. Gregory T. Lawton, I am the President of the Blue Heron Academy in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and I am raising money (at the family's request) for the family of murdered teenager, Mujey Dumbuya.
For the last three years Mujey and her brother Mustapha have been students of mine through a refugee outreach program that supports the children of refugee family's living in and around a local neighborhood called Camelot.
The Academy was founded in 1980 as a free school for women in transition who were victims rape, incest, and domestic abuse. For further information visit the Blue Heron Academy online at www.blueheronacademy.com
