Hello friends, family, and acquaintances. Thank you so much for any and all donations, your supportive messages, and keeping us in your prayers. It is much appreciated and the money donated put a good dent in to the criminal lawyers and private investigator fees.

We travelled to Ecuador last month to push the investigation forward and wanted to provide a bit of an update to everyone. Unfortunately, there isn't much we know at this point as the investigation is ongoing. Even if we did know anything we wouldn't be able to share anything publicly, for obvious reasons. What we can tell you is we have a high profile law firm and team of lawyers as well as a private investigator on the case. So far, our impression is that they are doing a thorough job and we hope to get some answers soon.

We will update anything we can share publicly here on this page as it comes up. Unfortunately, this could play out for months and years.

Thanks again folks.

June 2022: Edited due to ongoing investigation.......

Dear friends, family, and acquaintances.....it cripples me with anxiety, shame, and so much regret to be posting this. My sister, Marta Ganam and I are very private people at the best of times, let alone during this kind of trauma in our lives, but extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary measures. I apologize for the heavy burden I am putting on anyone but my sister and I plead for you help, I hope you understand that we will not let this go and you know you would be doing the same for your mama.

My mama was murdered in Ecuador on June 19th 2022, just a few days ago. Local authorities were immediately notified, Canadian embassy notified (but did not act) until I contacted my local MP in Edmonton to contact Ottawa and the Ministry of Foreign affairs. The local authorities are not saying much for now.
I won't get in to more details but these last two weeks have been extremely tough (to say the least) and we are dealing with a lot of challenges. We have tried to do things the right, legal, and proper way but it seems we are not getting any traction so we have to take matters in our own hands somehow. We are hiring a private investigator and/or offering a reward for information to work with the local authorities.

Now my sister and I (and others) have taken time off work, paid for flights, autopsies, cremations, lawyers, security etc. etc. and we only have so many resources before our lives get even more grim. We are trying to hold the fort down with our careers, kids, business, work, home, etc. etc. and trying to get to the bottom of this in Ecuador in extreme circumstances. We are, shamefully, asking for you help folks to pay for a private investigator and/or offer a reward to the tune of $15000-$20000. This is the only way we will get answers and justice.
For those that knew my mom know that she was a hard-working, loving, loyal, single mother that raised 2 kids with morals and principles. She was a free-spirit, disciplined, caring, had a high moral compass, and was tough as nails. She would have been the first one to help some one in trying circumstances, I guarantee you that.

Please help if you can, even $5 goes a long way. If you can't I totally understand but maybe you know someone who can? From the bottom of my heart, please and thank you. We will not stop until Anna gets justice and we get some answers.
Understand, folks, I struggled about posting this but in the end we will not rest until Anna gets justice and we get answers.
