In memory of Mauricio Aristondo—a noble, free, and radiant soul. His smile continues to brighten our lives, and his memory drives us to seek justice and truth. On September 21, 2025, our family faced a tragedy we never could have imagined. My brother Mauricio was the victim of a hate crime. A man attacked him violently with a wooden blunt object, striking him multiple times in different parts of his body and using the stick with such force that it caused severe internal injuries. As a result of the assault, Mauricio did not survive. He passed away hours later due to the extent of the injuries he suffered. Today, the case is in the hands of the District Attorney. There are videos and evidence clearly identifying the attacker. We trust that justice will prevail, but the process has been long, painful, and extremely costly. As a family, we have covered all legal fees, procedures, and expert reports to support the investigation, but we can no longer continue on our own. That is why we are asking for your help to move forward and ensure that truth and justice prevail. Mauricio was a kind, generous, noble, and genuine man, loved by his family and by everyone who had the blessing of knowing him. He lived his truth with freedom and love, and his light continues to shine within us.
