Help Us Fight for Mason's Rights and Justice
Hi, my name is Riley, and I'm fundraising on behalf of my 14-year-old brother, Mason.
Mason is a sweet, affectionate boy with profound autism, epilepsy, and global developmental delays. He is completely nonverbal, has incontinence, and functions with the mental capacity of a toddler. Despite his many challenges, Mason is a joyful soul who lights up our lives with his love for high-fives, cuddles, tight hugs, head scratches, car rides, and of course, snacks!
What Happened to Mason
This year, Mason started his first year of high school. It was supposed to be an exciting and carefully supported transition. Instead, he was subjected to what we believe was an improper restraint and improper use of force at his school at the hands of educators and law enforcement, the very people we trusted to keep him safe.
The result?
Multiple physical injuries, emotional trauma, and fear and distress that no child, especially one who cannot speak for himself, should ever have to endure.
Why We're Asking for Help
We are raising $9,500 to help cover:
- Attorney's fees
- Special education advocate fees
- Any additional support needed to hold the school accountable and protect Mason's rights
This isn't just about one incident. It's about making sure this doesn't happen to Mason again, or to any other child with disabilities. Too often, children like Mason are misunderstood, mistreated, and silenced. We are determined to make his voice heard.
How You Can Help
Please consider donating, sharing, or simply spreading the word about Mason's story. Your support will help us:
- Seek justice for what Mason has endured
- Protect his right to a safe, supportive education
- Raise awareness about the mistreatment of children with disabilities in school systems
Every dollar, every share, and every word of encouragement means the world to our family. Thank you for standing with Mason and being part of this fight for justice and dignity.
With gratitude,
Riley & Family
