Hi, my name is Mariam Khan. I am 27 years old and I am currently trying to raise money so that I can take legal action for medical malpractice. In March 2023, my surgeon removed my anus without my permission (and with my vehement denial pre-surgery). I did not discover that this was medically unnecessary until September 2024. Now, I am working with lawyers to try to pursue a lawsuit against him, however I will have to pay up to $15,000 for a surgeon to review my case and sign an affidavit of merit which says we can proceed to sue my surgeon. This expense will have to come out of my own pocket, however I am on disability and was fired from my job while on disability after the procedure. I need as much financial help as I can get so that I can try to achieve some sense of justice in this whole ordeal. This has been mentally, physically, and emotionally taxing for me, and I would really appreciate any amount of support that you could spare.
