Hi, my name is Brittany , and I’m starting this GoFundMe with a heavy heart after the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved dog, Margaret.

On January 6th, 2026 we trusted a local grooming business in Pequannock, NJ , expecting them to be returned home safely. Instead, due to circumstances that are still being addressed, Margaret lost their life while under the groomer’s care. This loss has been absolutely devastating to our family.

Margaret was more than a pet — they were a cherished member of our family who brought us unconditional love, comfort, and joy every single day. The pain of losing them this way has been overwhelming.

This fundraiser is to help cover the cost of the autopsy to see what happened to Margaret in just an hour and 30 minutes of her being there. Any funds raised will also help us pursue accountability so that no other family has to experience this kind of loss.

The autopsy costs $1800 and we need to act fast. She was a healthy, happy 5 year old dog with no prior medical issues.

Recieving a phone call that she was found dead in her cage after being washed does not add up and we want JUSTICE.
