Justice for Lori

On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. On Sunday, April 7, 2019, our loved one, Lori Shields, life was cut short due to a senseless act of domestic violence.  Lori was a mom to three beautiful children who meant the world to her.  Lori was an exceptional soul who never met a stranger.  Her kindness and devotion to family and friends made her beloved by many in her hometown of Maysville, KY and her adopted home in Norton, KS.
     Lori was preceded in death by her parents and alongside her children leaves a sister, Mary Humphrey to mourn her passing from this life.  We are seeking assistance on Mary's behalf to aid her in the best way we know how.  Mary will need funds for legal and travel expenses as she petitions the court in Kansas for custody of her nephew and nieces.  The children have not been released into the care of their mother's sister at this time and continue to be separated.
    In the void of Lori's absence, her sister Mary should be reunited with Lori's babies and charged with their care. We simply ask that you donate whatever may be in your heart to help with this effort.  Your continued prayers of love and support are greatly appreciated.
