On January 28, 2019, our family encountered a horrific crime against my cousin Gus Jr.
A crime in which I would never wish not even on my worst enemy .
My cousin went outside to meet two young men. These two young men thought it was going to be the best time to rob my cousin . While my cousin received a text to come outside he was under the impression he was going to be meeting with “his friends”. This was not to be true-his “ friends” had much intentions to rob him for $60. As he placed his arm in the car window to say "what's up - hello" the young man thought it was funny to drive off with him and locking his arm as he was standing outside the car .
This was NO child’s play!! They drove off with my cousin for nearly 10 long blocks . He was screaming and crying for his dear life ! He kept yelling to the kid ~if he could please stop the car. The second kid was sitting in the back laughing while the driver was driving 40-50 mph. Again my cousin was trying his best pleading with the driver to please stop. The driver was punching him in the face while he was driving and laughing .
The driver drove up a lawn within the neighborhood -as he drove upwards my cousin noticed a STOP sign coming ahead . To avoid my cousin hitting the STOP sign face first he turned his head to the left ..in doing this my cousin broke off the top pallet of his mouth and blew out about 9 teeth . ( We just found out he will need 2 more removed ) . He nearly cut off his nose and mouth!
When they finally stopped the car my cousin tried his best to run ..as he ran they tripped him -when they tripped him ..he fell and they starting kicking him ..My cousin turned around and asked “ Why are you doing this~ I thought you were my friend ?” ..they were calling him names.
My cousin managed to break loose and ran home with a concussion, nose and mouth laceration , dislocated shoulder , a gash on his leg that required 25 stitches , and lost about 2 pints of blood . He was found on the front door step of his house with Acute respiratory failure (HCC ) . With God’s grace he ran inside and noticed no one was home, so he FaceTime his best friend who immediately called 911. I believed his he went into shock , because when he opened his iPad his blood swatter all over the glass .
My aunt and uncle are devastated ! A lot of sloppiness has been involved with the investigation and it makes us wonder? ..is it because my cousin is a FINE , YOUNG handsome man?! He is the VICTIM !
Gus Jr, is a well respected young man -he brings home great grades . He runs track, and has a big passion for the love of football .
My only wish is for my cousin to become the Model is was once aiming to be !.
NOBODY should ever become a VICTIM to this extent ! We have a higher power and he is called GOD . Nobody better than you Lord .
