On March 28, 2019, Gary Ranker passed away in a New York hospital. While Gary had some health issues over the past couple years, the disclosures from the hospital showed that there were a series of medical mistakes made by his healthcare providers that led to his untimely death. Gary likely would have recovered and lived for years if not for the hospital's errors.
Gary, if you ever met him, made you smile. He was the type of person who brought people together, who made each and every person feel like they were part of his family. As one family friend said, "Gary was always there for me. It was his ears that made the biggest difference, He listened and showed it by caring, he made you feel loved." Gary will be truly missed by every person that met him.
Unfortunately, Gary died without a will, which has caused his family extreme emotional, mental, and financial strain. The family is working to set up the estate in order to fight for justice for Gary. The family and Gary's friends are heartbroken knowing that Gary's death could have been prevented, and that the suffering of his last hours could have been avoided. It is a true tragedy. Gary's sons and family have been put into extreme financial strain trying to stay afloat with their fathers death. The expenses from the mounting bills have been weighing more and more heavily.
The family is working with a lawyer to sort through the estate and work out how to find justice for Gary. The lawyer's fees and expenses are significant and the family desperately needs your help. If there is a settlement or court victory against the facility, the action that Gary's family is undertaking is not about the judgment, but primarily to make sure there is a recognition that mistreatment ended Gary's life prematurely, and to make sure that the hospital fixes the problems that led to Gary's tragic passing.
My name is Stephen, and I am a close friend of Gary's son Kristian. I am creating this campaign to help out Kristian and his family during their ordeal. Kristian has talked to me about his heartbreak, how he thinks about his father's last few hours and is so upset to think about how scared Gary must have been. Please join us in helping the Ranker family find justice, and to help prevent other families from having to experience this needless grief. Thank you so much for your help.
With love,
Stephen and the Ranker family
