It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news of the passing of Gabriela, lovingly known as Gaby.
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, our lives were forever changed. Gaby’s life was taken from us suddenly and in the most tragic way. She and her nephew had innocently gone to meet a potential buyer to sell a sweater through a marketplace app. During the meetup, they were robbed at gunpoint. Gaby, being a CCL holder, attempted to return fire but her life was tragically taken.
At this time, no one is in custody for the murder of our beloved Gaby. We will not rest until justice is served for our beautiful baby girl.
Gaby was a beacon of light in our lives. Bringing warmth, laughter, and unwavering love to everyone she met. Her smile could brighten the darkest of days, and her spirit lifted all those around her.
The loss of Gaby has left an excruciating pain and a void in our hearts that will never be filled. She was a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt. Her kindness, compassion, and love for life touched countless people. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Many have asked how they can contribute. In honor of Gaby’s memory, and to provide some financial relief to her parents as they navigate this heartbreaking loss, we have set up this GoFundMe.
Funds collected will go toward unexpected funeral and burial expenses, as well as other financial burdens during this incredibly difficult time. No contribution is too small, even a simple share will be greatly appreciated.
