I need your help. A police department in Wilbarger County, Vernon, Texas retaliated against my First Amendment rights.
I was arrested for voicing my grievances to another officer by telling him to “go f*** himself.” You may not agree with what I said, but I hope you agree with the rule of law.
The United States Supreme Court governs the scope of constitutional rights. In Houston v. Hill, the Court held that the First Amendment protects speech that may offend police officers, including profanity directed at them.
If a sheriff can arrest an American for speech, what else can he do?
I am pursuing legal action to hold this corrupt and tyrannical sheriff accountable.
in order to do this, I need to battle unlawful charges.
