Justice & Support for Feliciano “Felix” Curiel, Age 36
On September 6, 2025 at 3:00 AM, our beloved Feliciano “Felix” Curiel, age 36, was tragically and senselessly murdered in East Los Angeles.
Felix and his fiancée Kerin had been out dancing to celebrate another month of their engagement. Afterward, they stopped at a McDonald’s drive-thru at Western & Romaine because they were hungry. While waiting, a man accused Kerin of hitting his bumper. She explained this was impossible, since her car has sensors that automatically stop before any collision.
The man got out of his car, argued with them, and without reason opened fire. Felix threw himself in front of Kerin to protect her. He was shot twice in the heart and died a hero at only 36 years old. Kerin was also shot in the leg but thankfully survived.
Adding to the pain, the suspect himself called the police claiming it was “self-defense.” But how is this self-defense when there was no accident, no weapon, and no threat of violence?
Felix had already endured a deep loss when his beloved mother passed away from Covid. He always said that when his time came, he wanted to be buried next to her in their hometown in Oaxaca, Mexico. Our family is committed to honoring his wish.
We are raising funds to help cover funeral expenses, memorial services, transportation to Oaxaca, and support for Kerin as she recovers physically and emotionally from this horrific night.
No donation is too small — every bit of help means the world to us. If you cannot donate, please share Felix’s story so that justice can be served and his memory honored.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and love.
With gratitude,
