Help Me Fight for Justice: Vanderbilt Failed Me & Other Survivors
Hey everyone, my name is Emily Munoz, and I am an 18-year-old Black student from the Bronx, New York. While attending Vanderbilt on a full-ride leadership scholarship, my experience turned into a nightmare. I was assaulted on campus, and Vanderbilt failed me completely.
Instead of protecting me, the university swept my case under the rug, silenced me, and ultimately pushed me out. I am now speaking up—not just for myself, but for every survivor who has been ignored, dismissed, or retaliated against for seeking justice.
Why I Need Your Help
I am taking on a powerful institution, and that comes with serious financial and emotional burdens. Donations will help cover:
• Legal fees to hold Vanderbilt accountable.
• Living & educational expenses as I rebuild my future.
• Therapy & mental health support to heal from this trauma.
• Advocacy efforts to help other survivors speak out.
I am NOT doing this for money—I am doing this because I refuse to be silenced.
This Is Bigger Than Me
Since sharing my story, I’ve learned that I am not the only one. Vanderbilt has a history of failing survivors, and it’s time for change. Your support will help me keep fighting—not just for myself, but for every survivor who has been told to “stay quiet.”
How You Can Help
If you believe in justice, accountability, and supporting survivors, please donate whatever you can. Every dollar makes a difference. If you can’t donate, please share this with others.
Thank you for standing with me. Together, we can demand justice.
