Hello, my name is D'Lorin Watson. I would like to share my story of police brutality in Mexico. On July 14th, 2025, I traveled to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate a major milestone, graduating from acting school after two years of hard work and dedication. What should have been a joyful celebration turned into a nightmare.

Just two days later, my brothers and I were kidnapped, robbed, and held in cages for 16 hours by the police. While handcuffed and defenseless, we were beaten, racially abused, and stripped of our belongings. They stole our jewelry, our cash, and a piece of our humanity.

As an actor, my face is my career. I now face four facial fractures, including:

• Orbital fractures requiring reconstructive surgery to reposition my eye

• Cheekbone fracture along the wall of my maxillary sinus

• Nasal bone fracture

• Loss of vision and potential permanent damage

This attack has left me physically, emotionally, and financially devastated. I’m now facing:

• Emergency medical bills and reconstructive surgery

• Long-term rehabilitation and therapy

• Legal fees to pursue justice

• Loss of income due to my inability to work
