Justice for David: Help Us Lay Him to Rest

On May 23, 2025, our beloved cousin David, only 21 years old, was tragically and senselessly taken from us. While simply waiting in line at a business on East Charleston Boulevard, he was attacked and fatally shot in an act of sudden violence. David was carrying a firearm legally and holstered when an unstable individual attempted to take it from him. In the struggle, David was shot and lost his life at the scene.

David’s life was just beginning. At only 21, he had already taken on one of life’s greatest responsibilities with grace and courage—being a single father. His 2-year-old little girl was his world. He worked hard, stayed focused, and poured his heart into giving her the love and life she deserved by working two jobs to help support his mother and daughter.

Now, our family is not only grieving the loss of someone so young and full of promise—but also facing the heartbreaking reality of a little girl growing up without her father and a mother who lost her only child.
