Justice for 'Danny the Doula' Gallagher

Hey there! My name is Samantha Baldwin, also known as Sam Ross.

I am an Aussie mum of four young boys, ages 2 to 9.

On top of being a full-time mum, I work part-time for our family's auto-mechanic shop, and I'm also an experienced birth doula.

My birth doula and good friend, Danny (Daniel) Gallagher, inspired me to make this campaign.

In the past five years, I've gotten to know Danny well, and he has been a godsend to my family and me.

Danny was my birth doula during my pregnancies with my two youngest sons, Reuben and Rowan.

Without his love, empathy, and support, I fear my world would have been much darker.

Since 2018, Danny has been fighting for his life (personal and professional) against random people on the Internet whom he's never met before.

Danny was horrifically and virally defamed on social media over a few screenshots of a conversation taken out of context and blown out of proportion in mom groups on Facebook.

I cannot even begin to list the awful names and crimes he was defamed with because I think they'd violate the terms here on GoFundMe.

Tens and hundreds of thousands of people read these horrible words in real-time – wreaking havoc and destruction for Danny and his entire family.

These false allegations by people who had never met Danny nor used his doula or maternity photography services have prevented Danny from working, creating relationships, and living a fruitful life.

The things said about Danny then and now are NOT true, and he has proven his innocence by exercising his right to a jury trial against those who defamed him.

On October 24 of this year, Danny took his defamers to US District Court, District of Hawaii (as the plaintiff) to hold them accountable for what they'd done to him.

Because of my own positive experience with Danny and because I witnessed what had happened to him on social media in 2017 and 2018, I traveled thousands of miles from my cozy country home in Toowoomba, Australia, to testify as a witness in support of Danny.

If I had believed, even for a second, that Danny was the monster he was made out to be, I would not have left my four sons for the first time in their lives and left my native country for the first time since I was a teenager, to stand for the truth.

On November 3, 2022, after a week and a half of jury trial and two days of deliberations, the jury voted unanimously in favor of Danny's claims that he was defamed.

Danny left the courthouse with his head held high and his good name restored.

Unfortunately, even though he has received justice in the eyes of the law, the Internet is forever, and no matter how much he can prove himself, he will always have haters.

Danny can never be made "whole," and he still has a long road ahead if he hopes to recover from the unjust brutalization he experienced at the hands of jealous, insecure internet trolls.

The cost of four years of litigation (lawsuits) has left Danny's career and livelihood in shambles, and he has racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt to recover his reputation.

The funds raised in this campaign will be used to assist Danny in paying his debts and giving him his "phoenix moment" so that he can rise from the ashes.

He has spent the last half a decade of his life surviving and persevering from attempt after attempt of character assassination and unfair associations with crimes against humanity – all in the name of "feminism."

Well, I am a feminist, a woman, a mother, a doula, and a friend of Danny the Doula.

I implore all who stand for justice, truth, and all that is good in the world, to help me restore Danny to the life he rightly deserves.
