Justice for Damien — Help Our Family Secure Legal Representation

Our 17-year-old son, Damien Joshua Rego, was murdered on May 16, 2026. Since losing him, our family has been fighting for answers, accountability, and the truth about what happened before and after his death.

We are now raising funds to retain experienced legal counsel so we can pursue every lawful avenue available to seek justice for Damien and investigate the serious questions surrounding his case.

Damien was our son and a young man struggling with ADHD whose life should never have ended this way. He was only 17 years old. He had his whole life ahead of him.

For months before his death, our family had been desperately trying to protect him. We repeatedly raised concerns with police that Damien was in danger, that he had been taken far from home, and that we believed human trafficking was involved. We searched for him ourselves, followed every clue we could find, contacted police repeatedly, requested wellness checks, and did everything in our power to bring our son home safely.

We never stopped fighting for him.

After Damien was murdered, our fight changed.

Now we are fighting for answers.

We are fighting to understand what happened before his death, how the warnings we raised were handled, whether opportunities to protect him were missed, how the investigation was conducted, and whether failures in the system contributed to the tragedy our family now lives with every single day.

We are also trying to understand what happened to evidence, property, records, and information connected to Damien before and after his death.

We have spent countless hours gathering documents, preserving messages, building timelines, communicating with police, requesting records, and trying to understand a legal system that is incredibly difficult for an ordinary family to navigate alone.

We cannot do this without legal representation.
