On the evening of August 25th Sergeant Damian Lamar Daniels was kill by a Bexar County Sheriff Deputy in front of his own home after his family called the American Red Cross to get him to a VA hospital for a mental health crisis, caused by losing several family member recently, what his family never predicted was the fatally turns of events. Sgt. Daniels served his country in the US Army with honor and distinction for 6 years. Damian served in the army as a 88M20 Motor Transport OP from 2010 to 2016. His awards are as followed: Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 campaign stars/Army Commendation Medal//Army Achievement Medal//. Meritorious Unit Commendation//Army Good Conduct Medal//National Defense Service Medal// Global War On Terrorism Service Medal//. Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon//Army Service Ribbon//Overseas Service Ribbon//.NATO Medal//Combat Action Badge//.Certificate of Achievement// Driver and Mechanic Badge.
Damian was a very loved member of our family . There are not enough adjectives. to describe him but I can tell you that He was kind, sweet, loving, caring, a protector, and someone who was always there. for anything that he was needed for . He enjoyed making jokes, traveling, playing video games and spending most of his time planning and working in a bright future for himself. Damian was an entrepreneur and he was set to start college at The University of Texas at San Antonio. He was accepted into the University and officially was considered a Roadrunner. His major was going to be in Business Studies to earn his bachelor’s degree because like he used to say "when one of us makes it in the family... we all make it.”
There are no words to describe the feeling of seeing a son, brother, uncle,nephew ,and friend's life and dreams cut short . We sure will miss those late night calls taking about new ways of make money and new projects he would like to be part of , the text messages asking how we are and how he loved playing video games and he would like his squad to join him, and above all we will miss his smile, his hugs, his voice and the light he brought to our lives. I as his brother will miss the smack talk he use to do before we played Smash Brothers Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch. You have been the light of our life, a hero, a friend, a awesome brother. You never forgot to be your best you.

The funds obtained by your donation will be used to cover expenses of the funeral, lawyer fees, court fees, transportation of his body to his hometown in Alabama, and Burial services. Your donation will be managed by his brothers and mother to be sure this hero's final tour to his final place of rest is taken care of.
