On May 4, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department entered my property without my permission. One deputy opened the back gate and entered my backyard. Upon entry, the deputy observed my first dog near the gate entrance and continued walking further into the backyard. As the deputy proceeded, my second dog approached him. As my dog got closer, the deputy attempted to kick the dog. Immediately after this action, the deputy drew his firearm and shot my dog, killing her. This entire incident was captured on my home security cameras.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. the same day, I received a phone call from a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officer informing me of the incident. During the call, I asked why deputies were on my property without my consent. I was told they were investigating a stolen vehicle that was parked next to my home. I informed the officer that I had no knowledge of the vehicle in question. Following the shooting, both of my dogs were removed from my property and taken to a dog shelter. The following day, I was required to pay to retrieve my surviving dog. I was later told that my dog had been taken because she was “wandering the streets,” which is untrue, as she was on my property at the time of the incident.
