Curtis Ulleseit was 46 years young when he passed away from cardiac arrest on 12 September 2021. He was selfless, courageous, and blessed with a tenacious intellect given to few; he was brilliant. At the age of 39 his life was changed by an injection of Gadolinium Contrast, and in suffering it created a fire inside. He was determined to right the wrong of many in what became his final mission - Find a cure for the illness caused by Gadolinium and bring justice for all. His burden was a gift to the afflicted, and he gave all in dedication of this pursuit.
In 2017, he led a small circle to create the group "MRI Gadolinium Contrast Safety Side Effects & Toxicity Research". The goal was to platform public awareness, establish synergy in research and bring a legal end to the poisonous practice that has brought us here. He changed lives and brought hope to so many, and through his passion he delivered.
- He helped to orchestrate a published study on DTPA in the treatment Gadolinium Deposition, bringing awareness and availability of treatment that was before out of reach
- In his research he recognized the capability of HOPO as a potential cure - his ideas and direct engagement helped establish the ongoing studies at Berkley Labs
- Through his understanding of chemistry and the mechanisms of this disease, he crafted a narrative sufficient for renewed legal interest and representation of Gadolinium victims across the country - these proceedings are still ongoing for many, Curtis included
Curtis's fight is not over. In the presence of big pharma counter-threats, his family has defiantly made the decision to carry on this legal battle by donating his body to the science of our cause. His remains will be examined and submitted as evidence. Curtis's case is well documented, and he concocted a legal position that may be the best shot we have. Curtis frequently mentioned that having his kidney biopsied would be the final piece of the puzzle, and gave it serious consideration while still alive.
The donations received here will be used to autopsy his body, transport tissue samples and fund a pathological analysis with the goal of completing the causation in his case.
Curtis's vision lives on. Help us carry the torch and finish his work. This is a fight for all of us.
