On July 22nd, 2026 my brother Corey Ruiz was shot multiple times by a Madison Police Department officer. The shooting has now left our family without our son, brother, father, and friend. He leaves behind his mother, Elsa, his sisters, Veronica & Anna, and his brother, Adam. He also leaves behind his beautiful daughter, Kah’Liyah.

 

This fund is established to assist with mental and grief counseling for our family and to assist our family in the days to come, as we continue to seek justice for Corey.  A portion of these proceeds will also be used to benefit my brother’s only daughter, Kah’Liyah, who has to live without her father. 100% of these proceeds will benefit the Ruiz family and Kah’Liyah.
