HELP ME ACHIEVE JUSTICE FOR COLTON AND SAVE A LIFE!

As you may know, my 22 year old son, Colton, died in a single vehicle automobile accident. He started with a normal pulse and after being deprived of oxygen for 7 minutes before any treatment was attempted, Colton went into cardiac arrest. At that time not one chest compression was given as the paramedic watched him die. The helicopter on standby 3-5 minutes away was never launched. My son died in the back of an ambulance that never moved. Recent bodycam footage from the Sheriff’s office has revealed horrific details. He received an unethical medical exam in the back of the same ambulance. My son was devalued as a human being that night. He was hanging on fighting to live and his right to life was taken from him!

August 2nd of this year will mark the statute of limitations date to get accountability for the inhumane treatment of Colton. After working consistently trying to elicit change to ensure this same tragedy befalls no one else, it is necessary to pursue justice in a court of law. The decision makers and the county are not listening. Please help make sure no other family has to suffer the way mine has.

I am starting this gofundme for legal fees needed to assure the safety of every citizen in NC and for Justice for Colton. I believe this case will set precedence for every state as It has come to my attention this is a nationwide problem.

It is my desire that Davidson County EMS and all other county EMS systems all over NC and the US will provide more extensive trauma training and an innovative EMS that saves lives. That no life will be disregarded and all measures will be taken to save a life.

I am now down to a few days left to file. The judge denied my request for an extension. I will have to file on my own to start and hopefully bring the attorney in at a later time. The donations received so far helped pay to get the expert witness here from Florida to view the bodycam footage. I have to bring her back for court, pay for new written reports since viewing bodycam footage, court filing fees, and a court reporter. These are all fees that don’t even include the attorney fees. This is why people don’t get accountability. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will go into the Justice For Colton fund for all fees listed above. As Colton would say….”Let’s Gooooooooo!
