Justice for Cody-Mariah Fritz: Support Needed

My name is Cassidy Fritz. My sister Cody-Mariah Fritz age 33 (pictured in the banner) died violently the morning of August 8th, 2024 in Casper WY. She had rented a car and was meant to leave that evening to go back to college in New Mexico and had plans to attend a birthday party the following day with her two children and close friends. Her death was deemed a suicide because the person who called it in said it was a suicide and the case was closed in less than an hour without interviewing any family or close friends or any of the neighbors. When my mother and I went to the police telling them Cody was not suicidal and that her death did not make sense, we were told they did not care and that’s a private manner. We immediately began running a private investigation trying to understand how this could have happened. With minimal effort our private investor revealed enough inconsistencies to show that Cody’s death was not likely self inflicted and she was not alone in the home at the time of her death.
She was the mother of two beautiful children, aged 4 years and 3 months, and was just months away from graduating with a Masters in Environmental Sciences. She had recently escaped domestic violence and was as happy and strong as I have ever seen her. She was the kindest, most loving person I have ever met, putting the people and pets she loved, first in everything she did. She was my best friend and a brilliant light in the darkest of times. I am in the process of adopting her new born daughter Gwen (shown in the profile picture of the post).
Her murderers remain at large and the police have no leads . The investigation has now fallen entirely to my mother and my self. All proceeds will be paid directly to the investigators working on my sisters case or into private trusts for her 2 surviving children.
Anyone who knew Cody, knew she was one of a kind. She was a true artist in every way and produced hundreds and hundreds beautiful, creative, one of a kind works over her life time. She especially loved to hand make gifts for friends and family. She always collected the trash she passed where ever she went, and then used it to create beautiful images inspired by the places she collected the trash from. Over the years Cody also regularly donated her time and energy to homeless shelters and animal shelters, environmental efforts and to helping establish organic farms across the world through WWOOF. Cody’s influence and impact on this world was nothing short of miraculous. Given the individual challenges she had been dealt and the unexpectedly short amount of time she was here with us. This world has lost a living angel.
As the children of two military parents we faced many predictable struggles having to move and start over often. However Cody also nearly died at 12 years old from a brain tumor. After weeks in the hospital, multiple operations and months of rehabilitation, she miraculously recovered, well beyond expectation. She then moved on to accelerated at nearly everything she touched, so to speak. She rode horses most of her life. Beyond physical art Cody was also an amazing musician and could play many instruments including piano, violin, trombone, guitar and many others. She could speak 3 languages, and held multiple bachelors degrees and scientific certifications. She loved to cook and create beautiful dinners and parties planned meticulously for hours down to every detail. She also traveled all over the world visiting more than a dozen countries, making friends every where she went. Cody always took every opportunity she could to find happiness and to guide others to it as well.
I find my self in tears as I edit this post for the 100th time. I can not put into words how amazing my sister truly was. I can not bring her back by bringing her murdered to justice. Her children will never have a mother like her, whether I try to be or not. I will not get my friend back and this world will never have another person like her. All I can do now is try to bring peace to her memory, and try to create a future for her children, that she would be proud of.
