Sept. 15 update: A lot can happen medically in 24 hours. The family faced a very hard decision yesterday. It was devastating. Today, based on another medical option/opinion that was made available, the family has decided to exhaust every single option. And it’s complicated. Savannah needed to push, & fight for her sister. The neurologist suggests her brain rest from such trauma, then do further testing. Brain injuries are complex. Currently, there is very little brain activity. But there are complex options. It’s even made more complicated with the involvement of police. He has not been released. He’s twice the size of this sweet young soul. She is in ICU, in a coma and on life support. The family is raising money for lawyers fees, and fees associated with her long road of recovery, if she makes it. If she does not survive, the family will use the money for funeral costs.
