Justice For Catalina

Hello, my name is Dave Mcshaw this is my brother's family that this tragedy happened to. I am reaching out to our community and supporters of Catalina.

The morning of the 31st last day of the year, the day everyone puts the year behind them. We could not find our Catalina. She never came for breakfast. No big deal. She was asleep, so we went looking for her. She loved to curl up in a corner and snooze. So that is where we started. Until we did not have anywhere else to look. That is when we got worried. Had she gotten outside? That made no sense. She was never interested or curious about that before. So, the missing post went up on my daughter's Facebook page. We looked all over the neighborhood with no luck. Nothing made sense. Tuesday, January 2nd changed everything. Everything we thought was real was not. My husband reviewed the security clips to see if we could see her walk past or what direction she may have gone. But what he found was so much worse. What appeared at first to be a bag lying outside the entrance of the bottom floor was Catalina screaming inside the bag. We immediately went to file a police report, Meanwhile, while my daughter, her boyfriend and I were at the station, he found other clips. And what happened? Those clips completely crushed us. They were handed over to be reviewed by the officer handling the case. 3 individuals walked away with the bag, and she was never seen again. We were giving multiple tips for the same location which was searched thoroughly by many in the community including volunteer's, multiple rescues including drones. But she was never found. Criminal charges are being processed and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 02, 2024, 9:15 AM. We need your support with attorney fees to protect the family and to protect the interests of Catalina at the preliminary hearings.
