Justice for Cam and Jamie
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amy Whaley.
One of my best friends is in the fight of her life to protect herself and child. Cam is an amazing person and mother who loves her baby boy more then anything on this planet. She is with that child every second of everyday and has loved being a stay at home mom.
On February 9th, 2023, Cam and her son, Jamie (22 months old), were the victims of extreme domestic violence and child abuse. Cam was attacked unprovoked by her abuser hitting her, spitting in her face, and strangling her almost to the point of unconsciousness. The police officer's own words (from seeing Cam's neck) "This is the most violent form of strangulation. He was trying to break your trachea, the quickest way to kill someone." Her abuser also pushed Cam so hard while holding Jamie it caused her to fall and the child smashed his head against the tv. With zero remorse, the abuser continued charging Cam down.
Since then, he was arrested and brought up with four criminal charges, including cruelty to children and aggravated strangulation, a felony. His charges were so bad he had no bail. While in jail, Cam filed an emergency TPO (Temporary Protective Order) which was quickly granted by the Judge & they served him in his cell. He eventually did get out with very strict rules to abide by (including a 42-wk anger management program & no contact to either of them) nor can he leave the state of GA.
As time & the case unfolded Cam realized the seriousness of it all, so she checked her and Jamie into a Domestic Abuse safehome on the other side of GA. This place gave her some peace and healing for 30 days, which included the highest technical security possible; 24-7 survellence cameras on every corner, entire building gated, full staff, with food, water, and a roof over their heads. After their short stay, Cam has been left homeless in the wake of it all, since she fled the scene leaving with nothing but her baby and bags.
She decided to move out of the state. By the grace of God she was able to do her research about domestic abuse and found a temporary emergency transitional housing program for the homeless.
Despite facing serious criminal charges and having a restraining order against him (which he’ll be facing his charges later) her abuser (father of child) now is being legitimized (different county then crimes) & trying to fight her in the civil court. Cam has found an amazing attorney that will gladly accept her intake and wants to fight to protect her and Jamie! They have less then 80 days until the big court battle happens. Please let's help get Cam the proper representation that she needs and deserves, let's fight with them and get Justice for Cam and Jamie!
Any contribution would be tremendous and please keep these two in your prayers. Thank you so much for reading. God bless.
