El domingo 5 de julio, Cristina estaba en su turno de trabajo habitual cuando, a las 3:00 p. m., la policía fue a buscarla. Le preguntaron si era la madre de Brittany Nicole, de dos años. Ella respondió que sí y preguntó qué había sucedido. La policía le informó que, lamentablemente, su pequeña había fallecido mientras estaba bajo el cuidado de la persona encargada. Las autoridades habían encontrado a la niña a la 1:00 p. m., pero no acudieron a avisarle hasta las 2:45 p. m. La cuidadora asignada, en lugar de ocuparse ella misma de la niña, envió a su propio padre a recogerla; él terminó dejándola dentro del automóvil desde las 9:30 a. m. hasta la 1:00 p. m., expuesta al intenso calor de Florida. La niña ya había fallecido cuando llegó la policía y fue declarada muerta en el hospital. El martes 7 de julio, la policía notificó a Cristina que no se presentarían cargos contra la cuidadora ni contra el padre, alegando que él padece una "enfermedad mental" y que no existía un contrato formal para el cuidado de Brittany. Se debe hacer justicia para esta pequeña; Cristina es una persona muy trabajadora y humilde que, debido a la negligencia de otra persona, perdió a su única hija. La policía no le permite ver a su hija hasta que encontremos una funeraria; ya hemos localizado una y ahora estamos tratando de recaudar fondos para cubrir los gastos. Cristina no cuenta con los recursos suficientes, por lo que cualquier ayuda es valiosa. Por favor, ayúdennos a conseguir justicia para Brittany y Cristina.

On Sunday, July 5th, Cristina was working her normal shift when at 3pm the police came looking for her. They asked if she was the mother of 2 year old Brittany Nicole. She said yes and what was wrong. The police told her that unfortunately her baby had passed under the caretakers care. The police had found the baby at 1:00pm and didnt come to let her know until 2:45pm, which is when they came. The caretaker was in charge of the baby, but instead she had sent her own father to pick up the child and the father ended up leaving her in the car from 9:30am- 1pm, under the hot Florida heat. The child was passed once the police got there and was declared dead at the hospital. On Tuesday, July 7th, the police notified Cristina that no charges would be pressed against the caregiver or the father because he has a “mental illness” and because there wasnt a contract for the babysitter to be taking care of Brittany. Justice has to be served for this baby, Cristina is a gery hardworking and humble person, and due to someone else’s carelessness, she lost her only babygirl. The police wont let her see her babygirl until we find a funeral home for her, in which we found and are now all trying to raise money for. Cristina doesnt have enough fundsAbsolutely anything helps.
