Justice for Brendon Galbreath
From Brendon's Family:
Early on August 12, our son, brother, friend, and community member Brendon Galbreath was killed during an incident with Missoula law enforcement. The Missoula Police Department, Sheriff’s office, and hospital staff have treated us incredibly disrespectfully since his death. We have still not received clear information on what happened, cause of death, or even when he died. We are currently seeking a second, independent autopsy in order to find answers and start the process for accountability.
Brendon was 21, a UCLA student studying pre-med, and a member of the Blackfeet Tribe. He was a loving, caring, sweet, and intelligent young man and we are deeply grieving this unexpected and tragic loss. Brendon was loved by everyone who knew him because of his character.
Please donate anything you can to support our family as we search for answers. Donations will go towards paying for an independent autopsy, potential legal fees, funeral services, and travel expenses for family and friends to attend his funeral. This is an urgent need! Our goal is to have the autopsy completed before this Thursday, Aug 19th, when we hope to lay Brendon to rest. An independent autopsy is $3,000 and is necessary because the Missoula sheriff is also the current coroner and we cannot trust their analysis. We need more information before we lay our son to rest.
After you donate, please share this fundraiser. To further support our demands for justice and accountability, please call Missoula Police Chief White and Missoula Mayor Engen.
The recipients of this fundraiser are Brendon's Mother and Father - Eva (Missy) Racine and Mark Galbreath.
Thank you for your support!
