Picture a quiet evening at home, relaxing with your favorite people. You are enjoying time with your precious new baby, grateful for his sweet giggles and loving gaze. Your heart is full. Suddenly, your life turns upside down in the blink of an eye. This is the heart-wrenching moment that new parents, Hannah and Jacob, began the fight for their son's life.

At the beginning of August, at only 10 weeks old, baby Theo suddenly stopped breathing.

Under the guidance and direction of a 911 operator, Jacob began performing CPR. By a miracle, and due to their quick action, his distressed but attentive parents were able to keep little Theo alive while waiting for EMS to arrive. Theo underwent several scans, x-rays, and other tests. Hannah informed medical personnel that she had been in a car accident a week prior, which was dismissed. Hannah and Jacob were given misinformation or no information throughout this traumatic ordeal. Their focus remained on seeing their new baby boy treated with care and doing whatever it took to ensure his good health. Much to their shock, custody of Theo was removed from his parents because the source of Theo's injuries were deemed unexplained.

 

Hannah and Jacob are now fighting a battle for Theo on two fronts: finding the true cause for Theo’s condition, and regaining custody of their son.

 

In the meantime, Hannah is undergoing medical testing for her own known genetic collagen/connective tissue disorder, which may help provide answers to Theo's incident.

 

Unfortunately, legal expenses to bring the truth to light and regain custody of their child are extraordinary.  

We are asking for help to pay the ever-climbing legal fees, medical expenses, etc.

We are fighting to get Theo the proper care he needs. We are fighting to bring him home. We are fighting for truth.
