My name is Grace Resendez McCaffery. I am the owner of Latino Media Gulf Coast (La Costa Latina Newspaper) and founder of the Hispanic Resource Cente of Northwest Florida based in Pensacola, Fla., and I am raising funds to support the Reyes family. Three-year-old Orlín Josué Hernandez Reyes was brutally killed after his mother was deported. We were initially working to get Baby Orlin’s body to his mother, Wendy. Due to an error made in the examination of his body, the transport was delayed for several weeks.
Now, after reviewing her case, it appears that Wendy may be able to return to the US. Her sister, who was arrested with her, was finally released from a detention center. She also has three children.
We are now working to reunite the family and give them, especially Wendy, an opportunity to say goodbye to their baby boy. Please help me help this family get back on their feet and support them while they battle this unimaginable nightmare.
