On Monday, September 29, 2025, my husband Arturo - who is Deaf - was at a bus stop on his way home from work. While he was waiting for the bus, several ICE agents arrived and approached him.

As Arturo tried to communicate and show proof of his legal status in the United States, one agent stood behind him and pushed down on his shoulders while an other agent in front pulled on his arm. This caused an injury to Arturo's to his elbow.

Arturo has since spoken with a lawyer, but we need help covering the legal fees. If you are able to donate or support in any way, it would mean so much to us.
