Justice for Army Vet & His Children

Donation protected
Disabled Army Veteran fighting a difficult legal battle to prove my innocence.

On August 16th, I left my home to pick up my kids for the weekend. On my way there, this white 2011 Nissan Maxima with dark tints ignores all traffic as he's coming off the side street from the shopping plaza and starts tailgating me. This individual follows me all the way to the old location of where I pick up my kids, but he goes through the shopping plaza behind it, rushes through the parking lot and waits until I pick up my children before he starts following me again. At this point, I already know who the individual is and the trouble he likes to cause. My older son was sitting on my passenger side and immediately noticed we were being followed and feared for our safety and that of his 2 siblings, which one of the two is autistic. This individual continues to follow us all the way to the intersection I usually turn to go home. At this intersection I had to come to a complete stop because my light for the left turn was red, but the light was green for anyone that was driving straight through the intersection. At that moment this individual stops right next to us with his windows down, while his light is green, and begins harassing and talking alot of nonsense. He's there yelling and telling me to follow him so we can fight all while I have my kids in the car. I tell my kids to remain calm, lock the doors and ignore this guy...not to make any contact. He didn't get what he wanted and drives off.

About a month goes by and apparently this individual made a false report to law enforcement claiming that I allegedly pointed a weapon at him on that day. The statement and details he gave on that report were completely false and failed to mention that he was following me the entire time. Yes I carry and have a license to do so, but the firearm was never displayed. Even the details he gave of my firearm are incorrect for God's sake. So much for being innocent until proven guilty because they immediately arrested me without any solid proof...just on his statement alone. I had to use my savings for bail, and now I have nothing left to hire good legal help. Im on disability and live paycheck to paycheck. I will appreciate any help I receive, even if it's just a dollar, towards hiring a good attorney. Thank you for your time.
