Justice for Allison: Protecting Her Home and Trees

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Allison Pring, and I am a single 49-year-old woman living in Tacoma, Washington.

I've always worked hard to build a life and a home for myself, a place where I (and my guests) feel safe and secure. My home is my sanctuary for rest and recovery from a hard day’s work. For years, I've worked as a flight attendant for Alaska Airlines, a job I love, but one that often keeps me away from home.

Recently, a new construction project started on the lot next to my property, and what began as a routine development has turned into a devastating and exhausting legal battle.

The Situation:
The company, Sustainabuildity, LLC, has shown a complete disregard for property lines, city regulations, and basic human decency. Without my consent or a permit, they trespassed onto my property and illegally cut down three of my beloved, mature trees. They also severely damaged the roots of a fourth tree, which is now at risk.

I hired a professional arborist to assess the damage, and the report confirmed that the value of these trees is over $240,000, as defined by state law. This is a clear case of "timber trespass," and the law is on my side.

The Legal Battle:
I immediately reached out to the City of Tacoma for help. I sent emails, made phone calls, and even mailed a formal trespass authorization letter, but for months, my pleas for help were ignored. It wasn't until I contacted the mayor's office that someone finally took my situation seriously.

What's even more shocking is the city's inaction. Despite the clear violations, they have not issued a stop-work order. The developers continue to build, seemingly immune to the law. My contact within the city's permitting department was even told to "back off" because this was a "civil matter." This is a very serious issue of city-wide concern—if they can get away with this, who is next?

Why I Need Your Help:
I am now working with a lawyer to seek a settlement with Sustainabuildity, LLC, but they have shown no interest in negotiating. This leaves me with no choice but to fight them in court to protect my property and my rights.

This legal fight is taking a tremendous financial, emotional, and mental toll on me. As a single woman, I am shouldering all the costs alone. The legal fees, court costs, and other expenses are mounting every week, and they are quickly depleting my life savings.

I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to ask for your help.

The funds raised will be used exclusively for:
* Legal Fees: To cover my lawyer's fees and court costs.
* Expert Testimony: To pay for expert witnesses, such as the arborist who evaluated my trees.
* Property Repairs: To fund the necessary repairs and restoration of my property.

I have been working hard my whole life, following the rules and paying my taxes. All I want is for my legal rights as a property owner to be respected and for these developers to be held accountable for their actions.

This isn't just a personal fight; it's a fight to show that no one, not even a powerful development company, is above the law.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help me continue this fight. Please help me get justice and protect my home. If you can't donate, please consider sharing my story with your friends, family, and social networks.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time and support.

Sincerely,
Allison
