On August 1, 2020 Akisha Waldrop was murdered in Riverside, California. If you knew Akisha, you knew that she had a heart of gold. She always tried to nurture and mold others to be greater than what they thought they were. She poured into people and believed in people until her last breath. Akisha did not want to see anyone go without so she would give the clothes off her back or the shoes off her feet to make sure people didn’t get teased at school.
When Akisha became a parent, Akisha changed her life and pursued a career in barbering. She was determined to live her life as her own boss, make her own money and rules and take care of her family and friends. She would give free haircuts to the troubled youth of Riverside, all they had to do was bring their grades up. If anyone in the neighborhood needed money, she would have them come to the barbershop and sweep the floors to earn an honest living. She did whatever she could to help others even if that meant she went without.
Akisha was taken away from not only her family but the community by a callus individual. Akisha’s murder investigation has just began but we as her family are starting this campaign in order to help pay for her funeral and to offer a reward in hopes that someone will come forward. We pray that someone will come forward with any information that will lead to the ARREST and SUCCESSFUL CONVICTION of the person or persons responsible for the death of AKISHA WALDROP. We want justice for Akisha, she deserves peace, we all deserve peace.
