My son Adam L Dowdell Jr was murdered by another student while attending college at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, in 2020. Since then, my family and I have been going back and forth to court for the past 6 years, hoping for justice and closure. Just when we thought we were nearing the end, the person responsible decided to withdraw his guilty plea on the morning of the trial and now claims innocence. This has brought even more pain and uncertainty to our lives, making it difficult to find peace or move forward.
The emotional toll has been overwhelming, with countless days and nights lost to worry and heartbreak. On top of that, the financial strain of traveling to Montgomery for court hearings, paying for hotels, and covering meals has added up over the years. We are doing everything we can to stay strong and honor Adam's memory, but we need help to continue this fight for justice.
I am asking for everyone to please donate and support us during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity will help ease the burden of these ongoing expenses and allow us to focus on seeking justice for Adam. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness and support. May God bless you all!
