Two weeks after our son was born we became homeless. We were living with family in a very tense atmosphere that erupted one day in January with physical abuse. So we left, cut ties, never went back. We'd been saving to get a house anyway, but burned through it with two months of hotels and airbnb. We made an agreement to move in early before closing and pay a per diem, thinking we'd close in a week. Six weeks and several obstacles later, we now have to come up with about $4000 immediately to close or else lose our house. I was really expecting our tax return by now, and we've had to get our car fixed and replace both our phones on top of all the home buying expenses.

It's hard to ask for help like this, but it's better than becoming homeless again. We've already borrowed from friends. So I thought if we reached out like this, we might be able to get small donations from a large number of people to help get us there.
