Justice & Change For Leona Guevara Memorial Fund

Hello, my name is Tiffany Vega and on November 18th 2023.. my heart just shattered in a million pieces. My brother had brutally murdered my Mom, Leona Guevara. My greatest fear was now my reality. I couldn't believe that the numerous welfare checks that I did with Borrego Spring's Sheriff Department leading up to her terrible murder- meant absolutely nothing. My mother may not have been perfect. No parent really is. She had a challenging life, including the burden of mental illness. When her medication was manageable appropriately, she was a caring and gentle soul. She found strength and resilience in the face of adversity. In those moments her true essence shone through. That essence lives in her children Lori( 39) & Tiffany(30) and her grandchildren Emily( 21), Devin (14), & Athena (2). She was also married for 30 years to her Husband Elvin Vega until his untimely passing in 2020. Besides losing a big part of all of our heart and by another family member at that- I'm asking for your help.

Unfortunately my Mom never got life insurance, so myself and family need money for cremation and memorial services, plane tickets to fly my sister back home to California, grief counseling, and donations/local support of the beautiful town of Borrego Springs.
