Justice Annex Racial Justice Platform

Justice Annex is an online education platform launched in 2019 that educates, inspires, and empowers the social justice community. Justice Annex offers pre-recorded educational content through lectures, trainings, and tutorials by today's social justice, civil rights, and reform thought leaders in various fields.

Justice Annex is what we need now and is a learning tool designed for anyone who wants to learn how to be a better ally, advocate, and organizer in today's social justice movement.

Launched by social justice organizers in Portland, Oregon, we've spent years organizing and advocating on issues of racial justice, criminal justice reform, housing inequities, education equality, and health disparities.

For far too long, the Social Justice movement has been struggling to engage the next generation of leaders and sustain the ones who have been organizing for decades, plus support community members who want to not just react to issues of injustice but who want to learn tactics and strategies to combat racism and social inequities everyday.

Whether you're working for a nonprofit, corporation, agency, or local municipality, we know the following:

1. People want change, and need unconventional ways of tapping into knowledge to make social change happen.  Our goal is to bring together today's top Social Justice  thought leaders across the country to make content accessible to everyone, everywhere.

2.  People should be able to get exactly the knowledge they want exactly where, when and how they want it. We realize people are organizing now but what about 6 months from now, how can we can continue to galvanize folks and support this momentum into the future.  Justice Annex can continue to fuel our movement by putting out content that people can use to further the fight in their communities.

3. Learn from indigenous, Black, and POC organizers and activists in the field. We support our own community and offer them paid stipends to produce content we can share on the platform.  Too often, we ask POC members of the community to led but rarely are they compensated for their time and energy.

4. Access content 24/7 in mini-lectures that are 10-30 min short video sessions in a series.

The success of this GoFundMe will empower us to do 3 main things:

1. Advance racial, social, and economic justice in ways that advance equity in our communities.

2.Pay organizers and activists across the country to create content for the platform.

3. Offer anyone who signs up a free 1-month subscription to help them gain as much valuable content as possible to support organizing and mobilizing in their community.
