I'm raising funds for Memphis and his family (Shayn Stacy is his owner) after a traumatic shooting in Muncie, Indiana left this young pit bull injured in both of his rear legs.
We have 180 days to raise enough funds to seek legal action and answers
On October 15, 2026, in Muncie, Indiana, Memphis's family says he was in his own yard when a police officer discharged a firearm three times toward him. According to his family, Memphis had not attacked anyone and was running away when the police shot this puppy. Afterward, his family searched for him without knowing whether he was alive, injured, or suffering somewhere alone.
Memphis was later found alive, but hurt. While his survival is a relief, his recovery is only beginning. One of his rear legs is shattered and needs to be amputated. This fundraiser will help Memphis and his family with the care and recovery support he needs because of the injuries to both of his rear legs, and it will also help as his family seeks legal justice.
If you can, please donate or share this fundraiser to help Memphis get the support he needs and to stand with his family during this painful time. Every act of kindness means so much.
You can also donate directly to Care Animal Hospital of Muncie
