Hello everyone my name is Fidel Machado and Recently My Nephew Melvin Blanco’s life was tragically cut short in a hit-and-run incident while he was riding his bicycle—a loss that has left family, friends, and the wider community in deep grief and reflection.

Melvin was a hardworking man from El Salvador whose life was defined by perseverance, sacrifice, and love for his family & friends. He came in search of better opportunities, dedicating himself each day to building a brighter future for those he cared about. Known for his kindness and quiet strength, Melvin touched the lives of everyone around him through his generosity and determination.

Melvin’s passing is a reminder of how fragile life can be and how critical it is for drivers and cyclists alike to look out for one another. Beyond that, it’s a call for justice, compassion, and change—so that tragedies like this become far less common.

His sudden passing has left his family not only heartbroken, but also facing unexpected funeral expenses during an already painful time.
