Justice and Memorial for Baby Antonio

Hello, my name is Chante’. On July 16, 2024, my nephew, baby Antonio, was left in a hot car. This tragic incident resulted in him going into cardiac arrest and passing away. At the time, my nephew was in the care of the Sullivan County DSS and CPS Foster Care system.

Shanell, who is his mother and my younger sister, is not mentally capable of speaking for herself. So, I’m her voice as well as her support system. She has yet to see her baby boy. We have been stonewalled by every agency we have reached out to - DCF, CPS, and DSS. They are trying to rush and bury my nephew, and we feel they are trying to cover up a crime. They expressed to us that we could see him once the autopsy was done, but that hasn’t happened yet. We are not even sure if an autopsy has been done. We are trying to get answers.

Furthermore, we are trying as a family to set up a proper burial and memorial for him. We are also trying as a family to gain custody of my other nephew trapped in the system and also to get my sister out of Sullivan county so we can get her the proper housing and needs to gain custody of her son back

update: No arrest has been made and Dss has forced my sister to cremate my nephew wish is so wrong just too cover up there negligence , the foster parent abused my nephew prior to death his death was ruled a homicide, cos was made aware on multiple occasions that the home was not a good fit and the foster parent was unfit too care for the boys we are asking for help from everyone to get this out there we appreciate you guys who have been sharing and donating
