️ In Memory of My Dad Seeking Support, Closure & Justice
Hi, my name is Andrew, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart on behalf of my father and our family. Recently, while in the custody of Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, my dad was found completely unresponsive. He was left untreated for nearly an hour before emergency medical help was finally called. By the time they responded, he had no pulse and was clinically dead. Doctors were able to bring him back, but he has suffered severe brain damage from the lack of oxygen. After several agonizing days in the ICU, we’ve had to face the unimaginable truth there is no chance of meaningful recovery. Our family is now preparing to say goodbye and follow through on what my dad made clear he would’ve wanted: to not be kept alive by machines if there was no hope.
We’re asking for support with:
• Funeral and memorial service costs
• Legal resources to preserve evidence and hold the jail accountable
• Giving our family space to grieve and begin healing without financial pressure
My dad was not perfect, none of us are but he was human, and he was loved. He deserved dignity, safety, and care while in custody. Instead, he was neglected until it was too late. We are determined not to let his story end in silence. If you can donate, share, or simply keep our family in your thoughts, it would mean more than we can say.
Thank you for helping us carry this weight.
