On February 19, 2025, my life changed forever. I left my shared apartment with my ex-partner, Carlo Anthony Palumbo, for just over an hour. When I returned, I became the victim of a horrific and cruel crime. I found Jordan dying in our home bathtub, in a gruesome and horrendous scene that my children and I will remember for the rest of our lives. Carlo brutally tortured and beat my 3 ½-year-old miniature dachshund, Jordan, who weighed only 9 pounds. The injuries Jordan suffered were so severe that the only humane option was to euthanize him to end his suffering. Jordan was more than just a pet—he was my family, my son, and a source of unconditional love and comfort. The level of violence inflicted on such a small, gentle animal was not an accident or an act of self-defense, as Carlo claimed. It was a deliberate, malicious act that has left me and my family devastated. After committing this crime, Carlo even tried to frame me, further showing his intent to manipulate the truth and harm me. Someone capable of this level of cruelty towards an innocent animal is a danger to others as well. The impact on my life and my family has been profound. I now suffer from PTSD, nightmares, and panic attacks, vividly reliving the moment I found Jordan. My children have also been deeply affected, struggling to process the loss of our beloved companion. On December 2025, Carlo was sentenced and, despite his criminal record—including two domestic violence cases and a DUI—he was only given 24 months probation for the killing of my baby dog. The lack of justice has made this loss even harder to bear. In addition to the emotional pain, I am facing significant financial burdens. The defendant has yet to pay any restitution, leaving me to cover all expenses out of pocket while also paying for legal costs in a civil case against him and his accomplice. Your support will help me seek justice for Jordan and begin to heal from this unimaginable loss.
