Justice and a Proper Farewell for Gary Eagle Jr.
Hi, my name is Aliyah Eagle, and I’m writing this with a broken heart. On June 16, 2025, my father, Gary Leon Eagle Jr., died after a violent encounter with police in Red Bluff, California. He was stopped, thrown to the ground, and his untreated hernia ruptured. He was denied proper medical care and died as a result. He was homeless, unarmed, and didn’t deserve to be treated like this.
We are devastated. My father was a loved son, father, and friend—he struggled, yes, but he was a human being who mattered. He deserved dignity. He deserved help. He deserved to live.
Now, my family is left grieving without the resources to give him a proper funeral, and we are determined to seek justice for what happened. We’re asking for your help to raise funds for:
• Funeral and burial costs
• Legal support to investigate and hold those responsible accountable
• Basic support for our family during this unimaginable time
Anything you can give—no matter the amount—helps us move one step closer to honoring my dad’s life and making sure this doesn’t happen to someone else’s family. If you can’t donate, please share this campaign and help us spread the word.
Thank you for your support, love, and solidarity.
