Snyder was a joyful 13-year-old with a bright future, known for his love of camping, the outdoors, and traveling. He cherished time with his family and brought happiness to everyone around him. In 2016, Snyder began experiencing health issues, but it wasn’t until Christmas Eve of 2019 that we learned he had leukemia—his blood tests showed 85% leukemia cells. The diagnosis was devastating, especially since we hadn’t been informed about his condition for three years.
During his treatment at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Snyder was subjected to procedures that we were told were necessary, including a bone marrow transplant. However, we later discovered that he was used as an experiment without our consent. I was pressured to sign off on the transplant by a social worker, and the lack of transparency and communication from the hospital led to unimaginable loss. No family should have to endure what we did, and it’s crucial for parents to speak up and advocate for their children’s care.
I am raising funds to seek legal support and to advocate for other families facing similar challenges. Despite my efforts, I have struggled to find a lawyer willing to take on such a large hospital. These funds will help me continue fighting for justice, raise awareness about medical negligence, and support other parents in standing up for their children. My hope is that no one else suffers the way Snyder did, and that together, we can make a difference.
