In the early morning of 4/21 is when the nightmare began.
Police were in my neighborhood pursuing a suspect through my backyard from a stabbing that happened down the block from my house. Jesse jumped into action to see what was going on in his backyard to protect me and our home. I was abruptly awoken by the door slamming open and then heard gunfire.
I jumped up to look and I seen Jesse on the ground bleeding from his stomach.
Before I could get closer to Jesse I heard someone yell "Fuuuuuucccckkk" and others yelling to stay down. I was frozen with fear not knowing who was outside and seeing the love of my life shot and on the ground. I was scared I was also going to lose my life. My fiance Jesse, fought for his last breath after being shot by two police officers. Then, the police started pounding on the front door. I opened the door and they commanded me out of my house, no shoes, no jacket, no explanations. The police lied to me saying it was not Jesse that I just seen shot in the backyard. Jesse was finally loaded in the ambulance and per the police he was alive. Not knowing the outcome the police did not let me be by his side and be able to say my last goodbyes.
Jesse was a hardworking, good, intelligent, generous man. Loved all creatures big and small. Loved his Colorado sports and was taken too soon.
If you find it in your heart to help me bring Justice 4 Jesse, to pay for his final expense and the send off he deserves.
