Just for Jay-Double Lung Transplant

Donation protected
In 2005, after years of searching for answers while suffering fatigue and severe breathing complications, Jason Feltz was diagnosed with Alpha 1–Antitrypsin Deficiency.  This is a lung disease characterized by low levels of protein in the blood causing the blood cells to attack the lungs.

Jason’s condition has deteriorated to the point of needing a Double Lung Transplant.

Jason is only 47 years old, has a wonderfully supportive wife, Irene (Ferreira) and two sons, Brandon, 17 and David, 13.   Up until his condition prevented him from doing so, Jay was a coach for the Plainfield Junior Cats Football Organization.  The Feltz family volunteers for the Plainfield Township Disabilities Committee, The Ray Graham Association Monarch Adult Autism program and Will-Grundy Transition Planning Committee at Joliet Jr. College. They belong to St. Mary Immaculate Church in Plainfield.

Jason grew up in St. Damian Parish in Oak Forest with his parents Dale (retired IUEC Local 2 member) and Barbara Feltz, his brother, Dale, and sisters, Barbie Keenan  & Diane Jelley. The Feltzes were community leaders having volunteered with the Oak Forest Raiders Football & Cheerleading, Oak Forest Warriors Wrestling, along with the Oak Forest Girls Softball and School Board of District 142.

Jay is the nephew of retired IUEC Local 2 member, Jim Valone, nephew of Local 2 member, Joe Valone, and nephew/godson of the Business Rep./VP of Local 2, John Valone.

We understand we cannot stop the pain and anxiety the family is going through at this time however, we can offer gifts of prayer and finding ways to help lift some of their financial burdens they are facing.
