"Just A Memory" - Student Graduation Film

How do we reflect on the emotions we experience throughout life? What memories do we keep and which stories do we tell? How do we find self-acceptance at the end of our journey and don’t regret the things, we did not do?

I’m Claudius Heilgendorff, a film composer from Germany currently living in the Netherlands and I am working on my student graduation film, which is going to be premiered in a big cinema in the Netherlands on the 10th of June. The film deals with the intensity of emotions, both positive and negative, which can be overbearing, and how we reflect on our lives and these emotions in old age.

The film follows an old man through his emotional life journey with memory flashbacks to find his inner peace at the end of his life. Deeply emotionally complex, he is torn between the negative and positive moments, trying to decide which defines him.
